Nancie Simonet opened the Waterwheel Café & Bakery in 1989 in Milford, Pa. She previously attended the School of Visual Arts in New York and lived and studied in Paris during the early 1980s. She has held several jobs in the food industry. While managing a wholesale French Bakery, she called on some of New York’s finest restaurants & hotels, spurring her passion for food, culture, and design while providing her the drive to start her career as a restaurateur at the age of 27.
