Froswa Booker-Drew learned early on how the power of relationships can shape life’s trajectory. In college, a male professor who believed in her obtained a speaking engagement for her at a conference that led to an incredible first job. She feels that knowing that people are always watching you helps you look for the potential resources and opportunities out there. On the hard days when Froswa doubles down and bets on herself, she shapes her career choices to allow her to feed both her mental and financial well-being. If a salary increase is not possible, then more vacation or mental health days are other ways to better work-life. In her philanthropic work at the State of Texas, Froswa is the happiest when she can give back, offer possibilities, and create initiatives to improve the quality of life for others.
